- We confirm it is you We may ask you to verify your identity, so nobody else can request your data.
- We act on it We respond within the time the law requires, and we never treat you differently for asking.
Who we are and what this policy covers
DigiSoftwareShop is operated by DigitalSoftwareShop LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("we", "us"). We run this store and website, including all related information, content, features, tools, products and services (the "Services"). The Services are powered by Shopify. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use and disclose your personal information when you visit, use or make a purchase through the Services, or otherwise communicate with us. If there is a conflict between our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy controls with respect to your personal information.
By using and accessing any of the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and understand how we collect, use and disclose your information as described here.
Personal information we collect or process
"Personal information" means information that identifies, or can reasonably be linked to, you or another person. It does not include information collected anonymously or de-identified so that it cannot identify you. Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:
- Contact details — your name, billing address, phone number and email address. Because every order is delivered by email, your email address is the one detail we cannot deliver without.
- Payment information — the form of payment, payment confirmation and transaction details. Card numbers are handled by Shopify and the payment providers at checkout; we never see or store your full card number.
- Account information — if you create an account: your login details, preferences and settings.
- Transaction information — the products you view, add to your cart or buy, your order history, and any refunds, exchanges or cancellations.
- Communications with us — what you write when you contact support, including messages sent through the chat on our website (the chat is an AI assistant provided by Shopify) and any screenshots or error codes you send.
- Device information — your device, browser, network connection, IP address and other unique identifiers.
- Usage information — how and when you interact with the Services.
Where we get it
- Directly from you — when you place an order, create an account, subscribe to our newsletter or contact us.
- Automatically — from your device when you use the Services, including through cookies and similar technologies.
- From our service providers — such as Shopify and payment providers, when they process information on our behalf.
How we use it
- To provide the Services. To process your payment, deliver your license key by email, send order and account notifications, handle refunds, exchanges and key replacements, and improve the Services.
- Marketing. If you subscribe to our newsletter, to send you emails about new versions and price changes. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email. We may also use tools from Shopify, Google and TikTok to measure our advertising and show you advertisements related to what you viewed or bought.
- Security and fraud prevention. To detect and prevent fraudulent orders — including the manual anti-fraud check some orders go through before the key is released — and to protect the Services. If you create an account, keep your login details safe and do not share them.
- Support. To answer your messages and resolve problems with your order or activation.
- Legal reasons. To comply with the law, respond to valid legal requests, keep tax and accounting records, and enforce our terms.
Who we share it with
- Shopify and our service providers who run the Services for us — hosting, payment processing, email delivery, fraud screening, analytics and customer support tools.
- Advertising partners, where you have not opted out. For example, we use Shopify to support personalized advertising based on your activity across different merchants and websites. Depending on where you live, you can direct us not to share your information for targeted advertising here. We also share the information described under "Advertising and measurement" below with Google and TikTok through their tools.
- When you ask us to, or otherwise consent.
- When the law requires it — to respond to subpoenas, search warrants and similar requests — or in connection with the sale or transfer of the business, and to protect our rights and those of our customers.
We do not sell your personal information for money.
Advertising and measurement
We use advertising and measurement tools from third parties, including the Google tag and the TikTok Pixel. Depending on where you live and the choices you make, third-party vendors, including Google and TikTok, use cookies and/or device identifiers to measure which ads lead to a purchase, and to show our ads on other websites and apps to people who have visited this site. The information involved can include your IP address, device and browser details, the pages you view and the products you buy. Google and TikTok handle that information under their own privacy policies.
You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of the page, where shown, or on our Your privacy choices page. You can also opt out of Google's use of cookies for ads at Google Ads Settings, and of many other vendors' use of cookies at optout.networkadvertising.org.
Relationship with Shopify
The Services are hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your use of the Services in order to provide and improve them. Information you submit is transmitted to and shared with Shopify and third parties that may be located outside the country where you live. Where Shopify uses information about your interactions with our store and other merchants to provide its own enhanced features, Shopify is responsible for that processing, including for answering your requests about it. To learn more, see the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy; depending on where you live, you can exercise rights over that data through the Shopify Privacy Portal.
Cookies
We and Shopify use cookies and similar technologies to run the store — keeping your cart, securing checkout, remembering your preferences — and to understand how the Services are used. You can control cookies with the banner and the Cookie preferences link on this site, where shown, and through your browser settings; blocking some of them may stop parts of the store, such as the cart, from working.
Third-party websites and links
The Services link to websites we do not control, such as the download pages for the software you buy. Their own privacy and security policies apply there, and we are not responsible for them.
Children's data
The Services are not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of majority where they live. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it. We do not have actual knowledge that we "sell" or "share" (as defined in applicable law) the personal information of anyone under 16.
Security and retention
No security measure is perfect, and information sent over the internet may not be secure in transit. Please do not send sensitive information, such as card numbers or passwords, by email or chat.
We keep your personal information for as long as we need it to provide the Services, maintain your account, honor the lifetime activation guarantee, keep the records the law requires, and resolve disputes.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights. They are not absolute, and in some cases we may decline a request as the law permits.
- Access / know — ask what personal information we hold about you.
- Delete — ask us to delete it.
- Correct — ask us to correct inaccurate information.
- Portability — receive a copy and ask us to transfer it to someone else.
- Opt out of sale or sharing for targeted advertising — you can do this here. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out request for that browser and device, depending on where you live. We do not respond to other "Do Not Track" signals.
- Marketing emails — unsubscribe at any time with the link in any newsletter. We will still send emails about your orders.
If you live in the UK or the European Economic Area, you may also object to or ask us to restrict processing, and withdraw your consent where we rely on it; withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them. We may need to verify your identity first, and you may use an authorized agent, whom we will ask for proof of your authorization. We will respond within the time the law requires.
Complaints
If you have a complaint about how we handle your personal information, contact us first. Depending on where you live, you may be able to appeal our decision or complain to your local data protection authority; in the EEA, the list of authorities is here.
International transfers
We are based in the United States, and your personal information may be transferred, stored and processed outside the country where you live. Where we transfer personal information out of the EEA or the UK, we rely on recognized transfer mechanisms such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or their UK equivalent, unless the destination has been found to provide adequate protection.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or for legal and regulatory reasons. We will publish the new version here and change the "Last updated" date at the top.
